Northern city girl

After disembarking from the plane, I was ferried across the frozen Moose River by a turbo truck with studded wheels, and not, in fact, a snowmobile.  This was a very good thing, as the truck was fishtailing considerably as we made our crossing.

Upon arrival to the Weeneebakyo Hospital, I met with the director of education who immediately invited me on a snowshoe hike!  We met up in the evening with 2 other residents and SNOWSHOED. That's right, I, Teela J, snowshoed this 20th day of February 2013.  If you are overwhelmed at this admission, do not continue reading.  Further details will only continue to shatter everything you ever thought you knew about me.

So we head out onto the trail.  At times, it is completely obliterated by snow, and I was given the immense responsibility of trailblazing.  Yes, I, Teela J, BLAZED A TRAIL.  If I were a rapper, right now I'd be changing my name to Trailblazer T.  Feel free to refer to me as such.
Not a sparrow's nest

As we, kof kof, trailblazed, we came upon this adorable little nest.  Clearly no one is home given the deep freeze, but the doc that was leading the expedition identified this as a.....damn, I've already forgotten the name of the bird that made this nest.  He definitely said it was not a sparrow.

Anywho, the hike was spectacular, the first time I've ever hiked in legit nature, not to mention thigh high snow.  I will be purchasing some snow pants from the very exciting GG general store ASAP.

Rocking some snowshoes, they are very subtle
